An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This contract position is based in Naval Anacost Annex, DC, and spans the school year from August 4, 2025, to June 18, 2026. The role involves working with a diverse group of 40 students, addressing their speech and language needs to facilitate effective communication and learning.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy, particularly in school settings
- Knowledge of healthcare practices related to speech-language pathology
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Location:
Naval Anacost Annex, DC
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Provide direct therapy to students requiring speech and language support
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to enhance students' communication skills
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and growth
