SUMMARY:
Production Operators prepare, produce, and package our industrial adhesive products.
***2nd Shift **(Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm) & 3rd shift (Sun-Thu, 11pm-7am) *Shift Differential Pay / Overtime as Needed*

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES **include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Weighs quantities of materials for use in the manufacturing processes.
- Places loose or packaged material on scales and adds or removes portions of material to obtain specified weight.
- Reads work order or formula to determine types and quantities of materials to weigh and procedure to be followed for manufacturing process.
- Records weight of materials used for production records, and maintains perpetual inventory of materials used and on hand by recording and marking drums.
- Dumps materials in prescribed sequence into vat, hopper or mixing pot.
- Monitor and log time and temperature as specified on Batch ticket.
- Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor.
- Transfers weighed materials to production or storage areas.
- Records information such as weight, type of product, date and batch number of products produced.
- Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of manufacturing process.
- Trains in different roles on the production line from beginning to end.
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Additional requirements for the position also include but are not limited to:

Follow all safety guidelines and processes.

Wear required safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout shift.

Unrestricted ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, reach, twist and balance.

Ability to push, pull and continuously lift up to 55 lbs.

Able to work in an unregulated temperature and dusty environment while wearing required PPE.

Be willing and able to learn to operate forklift safely.

Learn to use and operate scan guns to report and control inventories.

Speak, read and write English effectively.

Possess minimum math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

Complete ongoing required safety training.

Must have reliable transportation and be dependable.

Need to have drive and initiative to succeed and grow within the organization.

Learn and practice Lean Manufacturing Techniques.

HS Diploma or equivalent GED
