As the Lead Mammography Technologist, you will oversee daily mammography operations, ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, and provide mentorship and guidance to the imaging staff. You will play a key role in maintaining excellence in diagnostic imaging and patient experience while ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality mammography procedures following established protocols and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of technologists, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with ACR, FDA, and state regulations.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.
- Manage equipment quality control, maintenance schedules, and imaging supplies.
- Support patient care by providing education, comfort, and a positive experience throughout the imaging process.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and Mammography (R and M).
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS).
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
