Position: Medical Practice Manager with potential growth to Director of Operations
Location: Atlanta, GA (with Florida expansion oversight)
Reports to: Owner/Managing Director
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000

Senior Healthcare Services is dedicated to improving the lives of seniors and providing exceptional geriatric podiatry and optometry services across Georgia in Long Term Care facilities. There is an active planned expansion of services into Florida. We're a growth-oriented practice committed to operational excellence and exceptional patient care.

Position Summary:

We need an experienced healthcare operations leader who can lead and expand our group practice. Experience in podiatry and optometry, as well as the Long Term Care industry, highly preferred. This is not a traditional practice manager role - we need someone who can own revenue cycle management, drive operational efficiency, and execute our Florida expansion while maintaining quality patient care. You'll have full operational authority and direct impact on practice profitability.

Core Responsibilities:

Revenue Cycle Management (40% of role)


  • Own the complete revenue cycle from charge capture through collections
  • Manage relationship with billing company/staff and hold them accountable to metrics
  • Reduce days in A/R to industry standard (target: 35 days or below)
  • Implement and manage Patient A/R collections program
  • Achieve 95%+ net collection rate on commercial insurance, 85%+ on Medicare
  • Conduct monthly denial analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Audit charge capture to ensure we're billing for all services rendered
  • Review and optimize payer contracts; lead renegotiation efforts
  • Implement pre-authorization processes to reduce denials

Daily Operations Management (30% of role)


  • Oversee administrative staff and communications with Providers and Facilities
  • Optimize provider schedules to maximize productivity and patient access
  • Manage patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize satisfaction
  • Implement systems for quality improvement and patient safety
  • Handle patient complaints and service recovery, provide in-service visits at facilities
  • Manage vendor relationships and office supplies/equipment
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CMS, and state regulations

Financial Operations (15% of role)


  • Partner with admin staff to ensure accurate coding and billing
  • Monitor key metrics: revenue per provider, overhead ratio, staffing costs
  • Manage accounts payable and cash flow in coordination with CFO consultant
  • Prepare monthly operational reports for ownership
  • Identify cost savings opportunities without compromising care quality

Growth & Expansion (15% of role)


  • Lead Florida expansion execution: marketing, credentialing, licensing, location setup
  • Coordinate provider recruitment and onboarding
  • Develop operational playbooks for new locations
  • Build scalable systems that support multi-location growth
  • Market analysis and payer landscape research for new markets

Required Qualifications:

Must-haves:


  • 5+ years healthcare practice management experience
  • 3+ years revenue cycle management experience in physician practices
  • Proven track record improving collections and reducing A/R days
  • Deep understanding of medical billing, coding, and payer contracts
  • Experience with podiatry, optometry, or specialty practice (preferred)
  • Multi-location practice experience or expansion project involvement
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills
  • Proficiency with practice management software and EHR systems
  • Strong Software Expertise in EHR systems, data management, Emerging Tech/AI, and Google Workspace

Strongly preferred:


  • Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) or similar certification
  • Experience with Georgia and Florida credentialing/licensing
  • Background in practice turnarounds or operational improvements
  • Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical skills
  • Experience negotiating payer contracts
