Forward Financial Credit Union History: Niagara Paper Employees Credit Union was formed in September of 1948 by a group of employees of the paper mill, sharing a common bond, who were seeking a better means of savings and loans for themselves. At that time the credit union was only made up of employees of the paper mill and their families. Over the years, other individuals expressed interest in belonging to the credit union resulting in several expansions of the field of membership. Today, all persons living, working or worshipping in Brown, Florence, Forest, Marinette, and Oconto counties of Wisconsin and Delta, Dickinson, Iron, Marquette, and Menominee counties of Michigan and their families are eligible to join.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their banking needs and inquiries.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper debits and credits are recorded.
- Utilize basic math skills to process financial transactions and maintain cash management.
- Maintain customer relationships through effective communication and relationship management.
- Assist in data entry and the use of financial software to support banking operations.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Cash Handling: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

TELLER
Reports to Member Services Supervisor and/or Branch Manager
SUMMARY OF PRIMARY FUNCTION
Performs a variety of duties related to all phases of teller work, including proper receiving and handling of deposits, cashing of checks/share drafts, and facilitating efficient access of members to their accounts. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
1. Receives and handles deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, etc., ensuring the proper endorsement on negotiable instruments.
2. Maintains authorized amounts of cash in teller drawer and reconciles drawer/dispenser/recycler according to credit union guidelines.
3. Ensures that all negotiable and confidential records are properly secured and kept confidential.
4. Completes special requests by opening or closing accounts; open and close sub-accounts; taking orders for checks; providing statements copies, and completing safe-deposit box procedures, and IRA procedures.
5. Complies with credit union operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions.
6. Explain, advise on and promote credit union products and services to members
7. Proactively looks for opportunities to cross-sell and fill members needs with credit union products.
8. Communicates ideas to supervisor for improving service to members
9. Understands his/her role in the event of a robbery, and knows proper post-robbery procedures.
10. Performs stop-payments procedures as necessary.
11. Assists members in entering and exiting safe deposit area.
12. Maintains neat and orderly work area and appropriate personal appearance and manner.
13. Assists in training new staff
14. Perform account reviews as assigned by supervisor/manager
15. Perform other duties as directed and assists others to complete tasks and work assignments.
16. Perform mail duty, and cleaning.
17. Ability to work at multiple branch locations.
18. Maintain the confidentiality of member, employee, and credit union information.
19. Work must be performed on-site not remotely.
Requirements:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hand to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear, stand, stoop or bend over. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to lift and carry objects weighing over 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.
