Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | Variable Mid-Shift | Every Other Weekend Required
Compensation:
- Local Pay: $2,145 – $2,362.50 per week
- Travel Pay: $2,735 – $2,920 per week
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented X-Ray Technician (Radiologic Technologist) to join a dynamic healthcare team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare and educate patients on procedures, addressing questions and concerns
- Accurately position patients and utilize immobilization devices when necessary
- Adjust exposure factors and equipment controls for optimal imaging results
- Apply radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff
- Follow infection control guidelines and departmental safety procedures
- Evaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments for diagnostic accuracy
- Document procedures and patient information in appropriate systems
- Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and coordinate maintenance/repairs
- Monitor and maintain radiology supplies and inventory levels
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility protocols
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support patient care
- Participate in continuing education and maintain required competencies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.)
- ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Solid understanding of radiation safety practices
