Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience is needed for a contract position in New Braunfels, TX. This role supports surgical procedures across five operating rooms and demands a commitment to patient safety and quality care. Flexibility and a caring attitude are essential to thrive in this fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as an OR circulator during surgeries, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly managed
- Supporting various surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, and thoracic cases
- Participating in a call rotation with one weeknight call and one weekend call every five weeks
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to maintain sterile conditions and provide optimal patient care
- Utilizing EMR systems to document patient information accurately
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Current RN license with proven Operating Room circulator experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to fulfill the rotating call schedule (minimum one night per week and one weekend per five-week cycle)
- Preferred: experience in multiple surgical specialties listed above
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, flexible approach
