Job Title: Registered Dietitian
Location: Bronx, NY 10451
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to assess, plan, and implement nutrition care for patients. This role involves monitoring food and drug interactions, providing nutrition education, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and assess patients’ nutritional status in a timely and accurate manner
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
- Monitor and document food/drug interactions
- Educate patients and families on dietary needs and modifications
- Interpret lab values, medical records, and social data related to nutrition care
- Modify patient menus based on dietary requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation of diet instructions and patient understanding
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on diet modifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dietitian experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, or related field
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- OR New York State Dietitian-Nutritionist Certification (NYSED) (required for post-acute settings)
- Strong communication and patient education skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience
- Master’s degree in a related field
- AHA BLS Certification
