Pay: $16.61-$23.47 (plus $1.00 shift differential)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

Core Production and Packaging Responsibilities:

· Comply with all company policies, GMPs, food safety, product-protection, and safety requirements at all times.

· Operate assigned assembly and packaging line tasks and rotate into Manufacturing Worker duties as needed to support production.

· Support the setup, priming, testing, operation, and adjustment of production equipment; assist with changeovers, line reconfigurations, coder updates, cleaning tasks, and material staging.

· Understand equipment functions, operating procedures, and control settings; assist with performing basic inspections and preventive maintenance and contact maintenance when issues arise.

· Load, stock, stage, and replenish materials; build and supply cases; maintain proper line speeds; and quickly clear jams to minimize downtime and support efficient product flow.

· Inspect packaging materials and finished goods; remove defective or underweight items; respond to metal detector alerts; and conduct product quality checks throughout the shift.

· Assist with monitoring and complying with all process requirements, Critical Control Points (CCPs), and Preventive Controls, including temperatures, metal detection, cooling verification, sanitation, line clearance, barcode checks, and accurate material usage.

· Accurately complete all required documentation, including batch sheets, lot code verification, and item number confirmation as needed.

· Perform housekeeping and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas during production, downtime, and recovery activities.

· Communicate effectively, collaborate with team members, report safety, mechanical, or quality concerns promptly, assist with training, attend meetings as needed, and support continuous improvement.

· Perform other duties as assigned and work overtime during peak production periods.

Packaging Line Downtime & Product Recovery Duties:

In periods of line downtime, slowdowns, or interruptions, the Operator may be assigned to product recovery and line support functions, including:

· Palletize finished products and stage materials to maintain workflow continuity.

· Supply and transport empty racks, pallets, or materials to minimize production disruption.

· Respond quickly to line stoppages by supporting rack movement, product handling, and recovery tasks.

· Offload product from the packaging line and transfer materials to designated staging or handling areas.

· Place products onto metal trays following food safety and handling standards.

· Load trays onto racks, prepare racks for storage or movement, and apply required protective coverings (including blue bags where applicable).

· Transfer racks to freezer locations following safety and operating procedures.

· Ensure accurate application of Work‑In‑Progress (WIP) tags supplied by the Line Lead.

· Inspect outer packaging for correct lot codes, date codes, and serial numbers.

· Maintain communication with Line Leads and Supervisors regarding product movement and operational needs.

Additional Production & Material Handling Responsibilities:

The Operator provides cross-department support based on production needs, including:

· Assist Mixing Operators with heavy lifting, material handling, and general mixing support functions (paperwork not required).

· Load assembly lines with required materials to support uninterrupted production.

· Maintain adequate frozen-goods supply by keeping bins filled and monitoring flow.

· Ensure continuous material feed to automated Chef Robotics systems by keeping bins properly filled.

SKILLS

· Language Skills

o Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

o Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

· Mathematical Skills

o Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

o Able to use calculator.

· Reasoning Ability

o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

o Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
