Position Summary:
Onboarding Associate – Deliver the First Chapter of Every Metrean’s story. We’ve created a brand-new role at Metrea: Onboarding Associate.
You’ll be the one who makes onboarding happen - ensuring every new teammate feels welcomed, supported, and set up for success. Reporting to the Head of People Development, you’ll run our onboarding process from start to finish, partnering closely with the People Development and Team Engagement, managers, and new joiners so the experience is consistently seamless and distinctly Metrean. You’ll keep things running smoothly and gather feedback that helps us to level up the experience for future joiners. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives on getting things done. If you enjoy coordinating, collaborating, and making sure people feel at home from day one, this role is for you.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Act as the go-to contact for new teammates from offer signing through to onboarding completion
- Coordinate all pre-onboarding tasks—background checks, HRIS setup, right-to-work, and references.
- Partner with hiring teams to deliver a smooth checklist, including IT setup, swag, and intro meetings.
- Collaborate with office buddies and the Engagement team to ensure a seamless day one experience.
- Run or coordinate training sessions on Benefits, Company Welcome, FIRMWARE (values), and core tools.
- Use onboarding surveys and feedback to continuously improve the experience.
- Support hiring managers with clear guidance and resources to onboard their teams effectively. Help develop tailored onboarding paths (e.g. Leaders, Managers,Graduates) and a 30/60/90-day framework.
Skills and Experience:
- 2–3 years’ experience in an HR, People, or Talent Operations role.
- Familiarity with People Systems (ADP, Greenhouse, or Lattice a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — able to build trust quickly and connect with people at all levels.
- A natural relationship-builder and team player who enjoys being the go-to person for others.
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable managing processes across multiple locations and functions.
- Experience in developing or improving people processes and frameworks.
- Empathetic, approachable, and committed to helping every new teammate succeed.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval fromthe department manager.
