MNA Delivers leadership, support, and guidance to healthcare facilities of all sizes across multiple specialists with the primary goal of providing accessibility, value, and quality medical administrative support services.
What Youll Do:
The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the CEO of Medical Network of Alaska. This role involves managing complex calendars, coordinating board and leadership meetings, preparing executive communications, and serving as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders. The position also includes healthcare-specific responsibilities such as supporting regulatory compliance, accreditation preparation, and handling confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
Executive Support
- Manage the CEO's complex calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements across multiple time zones
- Coordinate board meetings, executive leadership sessions, and stakeholder communications
- Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and follow-up documentation
- Screen and prioritize communications, correspondence, and requests for the CEO's attention
- Serve as primary liaison between CEO and internal/external stakeholders
Healthcare-Specific Duties
- Coordinate with medical staff, department heads, and clinical leadership teams
- Assist with regulatory compliance documentation and reporting deadlines
- Support preparation for Joint Commission visits, accreditation processes, and quality reviews
- Manage sensitive patient information and PHI in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with legal counsel on healthcare-related matters and contracts
Strategic Administrative Support
- Prepare executive presentations, reports, and correspondence
- Conduct research on healthcare trends, policy changes, and competitive landscape
- Assist with strategic planning initiatives and executive decision-making processes
- Maintain confidential files and records with the highest level of discretion
- Support special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned
Skills:
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with healthcare information systems and electronic health records
- Knowledge of project management tools and database management
- Strong presentation and report preparation abilities
Healthcare Knowledge
- Understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards
- Familiarity with HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and quality improvement processes
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology, organizational structures, and operational workflows
- Experience with medical staff credentialing and governance processes preferred

What You Need For This Job:
- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, or a related field.Or a combination of education and experience.
- Relevant Work Experience: Five to seven years of executive experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Experience supporting C-level executives in a complex organizational environment.
- Must reside in or near Wasilla, Alaska.
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, or feel and talk and hear. Ability to occasionally sit, reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
