Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year at high schools in Phoenix, AZ. This contract position offers the chance to support students with diverse learning needs within an inclusion setting across multiple locations. There are over 20 openings, allowing for a broad range of placements and caseloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to high school students with special education needs in an inclusive environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and implement accommodations
- Manage and monitor caseloads effectively to ensure each students educational goals are met
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP development and team meetings
- Foster a supportive learning atmosphere that encourages student growth and development
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement required
- Previous experience teaching in a school setting, preferably at the high school level
- Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to submit all credentials, including license, fingerprint card, and resume, as required by the district
