Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the 2026-2027 school year within a supervisory union serving K-12 students in Barre, VT. This role is ideal for a skilled professional familiar with Vermont special education law, capable of conducting cognitive assessments as well as evaluations for moderate autism.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-person responsibilitiesincluding testing, observations, and meetings for complex caseswith the flexibility to complete report writing from home. The psychologist will be the sole provider for the entire supervisory union, playing a crucial role in supporting students educational and emotional needs across multiple schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cognitive and autism-related assessments to support special education eligibility
- Perform psychological evaluations in accordance with Vermont special education laws and district guidelines
- Provide recommendations and collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Attend meetings and conduct observations necessary for complex case evaluations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and report writing, with the option to work remotely for this component
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed or credentialed as a School Psychologist
- In-depth knowledge of Vermont special education regulations
- Experience with cognitive assessments and autism spectrum evaluations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse educational teams
- Ability to manage a broad caseload as the sole psychologist supporting a K-12 supervisory union
