Location: Minnetonka, MN
Job Type: Full time Permanent
Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
Salary: $22.23 - $27.37 (based on years of experience) + Benefits
Possible Sign on Bonus or Relocation Bonus discussed in the interview
Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will manage customer flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their customers. Customers come from a variety of backgrounds and various age groups requiring individualized care including infants, children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics. The focus of the Medical Assistant is on collaborative, supportive and delegated tasks as described in the Blaze Health Medical Assistant scope of practice.
The Medical Assistant will perform clinical and clerical tasks to assist with the management of customer flow throughout the clinic. Tasks include standard rooming processes, giving immunizations, injections, and other medications as directed by the provider; and performing laboratory specimen collection as needed. Dependent upon the specialty and clinic location
Position Requirements:
· High School graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED) required.
· Previous experience in a clinical setting - Required
· Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required, on the job experience or training, and participation in a registration program conducted by an accredited by a national health services organization, such as American Medical Technologists, and passing the credentialing exam. - Required
· Medical Assistant certification – Required
· Current BLS Certification
