At American Marketing & Publishing (AMP), we help thousands of family-owned businesses across the country show up visibly and attractively online. Our marketing platform powers business listings, photos, reviews, and websites across Google, Bing, Facebook, Apple, and more — all at the most competitive rates in the industry.
With 28 years of proven success, AMP is growing fast — and we’re building our new Houston Inside Sales Office around a driven, energetic leader ready to grow into management.
Why You’ll Love This Role
If your goals include rapid career growth, hands-on leadership experience, and earning strong income while learning from top executives — this is your opportunity.
We offer:
- Professional growth with no limits
- Comprehensive leadership and sales training directly from senior executives
- A positive, high-energy team culture that celebrates achievement and personal growth
- First-year on-target earnings of $70,000–$100,000 https://flipbooks.ampcorporate.com/DISMIT_comp
What You’ll Do
As a Manager-in-Training (MIT), you’ll be at the center of building our new Houston Area sales team — learning the AMP sales process, developing your leadership skills, and setting the tone for your future office.
You will first learn our sales process:
- Call small business owners and introduce them to marketing solutions that drive more customers
- Present and sell our industry-leading advertising programs over the phone
- Learn from the best through hands-on training with supportive teammates and managers
- Build relationships and celebrate wins in a fast-paced, high-energy sales floor environment
Next: Build a Sales team through demonstration and lead by example leadership
- Lead by example — sell alongside your team as you grow into a leadership role.
- Help recruit, train, and develop a team of 15 inside sales representatives.
- Collaborate with company leaders in Recruiting, HR, Training, and Operations.
- Build an office culture that’s energetic, positive, and focused on success.
Over 9–12 months, you’ll work closely with our Senior Vice President of Sales to co-manage the Houston team — preparing to take full ownership as Inside Sales Manager.
What It Takes
We’re looking for a high-achieving, outgoing, and goal-oriented professional who thrives on challenge and leadership.
You should have:
- A track record of success — whether in academics, athletics, leadership, or previous sales roles.
- Confidence presenting and closing sales with small business owners.
- A positive, coachable attitude with strong work ethic and integrity.
- The ability to lead, multitask, and motivate others.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Sales management experience isn’t required — just the drive, discipline, and enthusiasm to grow quickly.
Join us and take your next big career leap — where leadership, growth, and success are built from the ground up.
