We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to manage our waste-management program and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining safety and health standards within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
- Evaluate ongoing technical projects and implement appropriate hazardous waste management in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Inspect the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Develop and implement inspection policies and procedures, along with a schedule of routine inspections.
- Develop health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
- Prepare and schedule training to cover emergency procedures, site plans, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures.
- Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- Ensure that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field required.
- Master's degree desirable.
- 5 years or more of related experience preferred.
Work Environment
The position involves working in a facility where adherence to safety and environmental regulations is paramount. The specialist will have access to technology and equipment necessary for conducting thorough environmental inspections. The role requires occasional travel for inspections and training sessions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
