Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Skilled Painter / Lead Painter to perform high-quality painting work and support team coordination on-site. This role requires hands-on expertise, the ability to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, and the capability to guide and assist junior team members.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to maintain productivity while ensuring quality standards are met.
Compensation & Benefits
- $23/h - $25/h (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, according to project requirements. Weekends : occasionally, as per the client’s request.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional painting work, including surface preparation, priming, and finishing (brush, roller, and spray)
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching, caulking, and masking as needed
- Read and follow work orders, project instructions, and specifications
- Operate equipment such as scissor lifts and ladders safely
- Lead and support Painting Helpers and less experienced team members
- Assign tasks and help maintain workflow efficiency on-site
- Ensure quality control and consistency in finished work
- Communicate with supervisors regarding progress, materials, and any issues
- Handle, mix, and apply paints and coatings properly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and proper use of PPE
Requirements
- Proven experience in painting (residential, commercial, or industrial)
- Experience operating scissor lifts and boom lifts (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lead small teams and provide guidance to entry-level workers
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to lift and carry materials (up to ~50–75 lbs as needed)
- Comfortable working at heights and in different environments
- Reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with spray equipment and advanced coatings
- Basic understanding of workplace safety standards (OSHA knowledge is a plus)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Work Environment
- Projects include indoor and outdoor assignments.
- Work may involve exposure to heat, dust, and construction environments
- Use of ladders, lifts, and other equipment is required
