Lunghamer Buick GMC is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our growing service team in Waterford, Michigan. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles while delivering the high level of quality and communication our customers expect. ASE certification and strong communication skills are preferred.

Service Technician Responsibilities
-
Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership and manufacturer standards

Test drive vehicles and inspect components using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems
-
Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding vehicle needs and additional repairs

Provide accurate time estimates for repairs

Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
Service Technician Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 2 years of automotive technician experience

Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance

ASE certification preferred

Fast learner, dependable, and team-oriented

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Customer-focused mindset

Computer skills and willingness to learn new systems

Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
