Job DescriptionWe are seeking Quality Control Technician candidates for a well-known Wire & Spring facility located in McKees Rocks. This Quality Control Technician role has a starting pay rate of $17 - $18 / hr.
Quality Control Technician Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 8a – 4:30p
Quality Control Technician Responsibilities:
- Use manual and programmable test and measurement equipment to gather dimensional and mechanical data from production parts for comparison to part specifications.
- Read and understand technical drawings.
- Properly use high-accuracy manual dimensional measuring tools.
- Program and use automated testing equipment.
- Use simple geometric principles to calculate inferred information from drawings.
- Understand and refine knowledge of standards and specifications relevant to customer markets including Aerospace, Military, Electrical, Nuclear, Transportation, Life Science, and Industrial Equipment.
- Create compliance and certification documentation, data spreadsheets, analysis tables, and other software-based tools.
- Participate in the ISO9001 Quality Management System by complying with program requirements.
- Perform internal audits, investigate failures, and revise and develop new processes as part of the ISO9001 Quality Management System.
Quality Control Technician Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Proficiency with high-accuracy manual dimensional measuring tools.
- Experience with or ability to learn programming and use of automated testing equipment.
- Understanding of simple geometric principles for calculation from drawings.
- General knowledge of standards and specifications, with a focus on customer markets such as Aerospace, Military, Electrical, Nuclear, Transportation, Life Science, and Industrial Equipment.
- Ability to create compliance and certification documentation, data spreadsheets, and analysis tables.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the ISO9001 Quality Management System.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
