Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in self-contained, cognitively impaired classrooms, serving students in grades 6th through 10th. This role is based in Clinton Township, MI, and offers a travel assignment setting. The position begins ASAP and continues through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instruction and support for students with cognitive impairments in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and specialists to enhance student learning and development.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in assessment activities.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a safe, supportive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification.
• Experience teaching students with cognitive impairments, especially in grades 6th to 10th.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Commitment to fostering student growth and inclusion.
