Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care based on scientific nursing principles for critically ill patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer and document prescribed medications accurately, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Provide bedside care and initiate patient education on post-treatment needs.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab reports.
- Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and respond quickly to life-saving situations.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, and oxygen pumps.
- Ensure the proper functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing, carrying out corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive and timely patient care documentation.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license valid in the state or Nurse Licensure Compact (with required verifications).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Proven critical care experience in a hospital ICU or CCU setting.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
