We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical Stepdown Unit. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in a progressive care environment, bridging the gap between intensive care and general medical-surgical floors. You will manage patients requiring high-frequency monitoring and specialized pharmacological interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Medication Management:Safely administer and monitor high-alert titratable drips, specificallyCardizem (Diltiazem)andHeparin.
  • Cardiac Monitoring:Maintain proficiency intelemetryoversight, including real-time rhythm interpretation and rapid response to cardiac changes.
  • Complex Patient Care:Lead nursing interventions for patients transitioning from the ICU or those with acute cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration:Coordinate with physicians and specialists to adjust care plans based on continuous vital sign data and patient assessment.

Schedule & Commitment

  • Shift:12-hour day shifts (e.g., 07:00 19:00).
  • Frequency:3 days per week (36 hours total).
  • Weekend Rotation:Mandatory participation in a rotating schedule, requiring workevery third weekend.

Qualifications

  • Licensure:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience:A minimum of2 years of experiencein a stepdown, telemetry, or high-acuity med/surg environment is highly preferred.
  • Certifications:CurrentBLSandACLSare required.
  • Technical Skills:Demonstrated comfort with cardiac drip titration and telemetry monitoring systems.
