Join our l team as a Registered Nurse RN to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in Fairfax, Missouri. This role is responsible for the assessment, care planning, and coordination of total nursing care in a collaborative healthcare environment. You will work closely with physicians, support staff, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes and support holistic healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and full body system analysis for diverse patient populations.
- Manage patient admissions, triage, and discharge planning processes efficiently.
- Identify changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate clinical interventions or emergency treatment.
- Administer medications, blood components, and intravenous IV therapies following established protocols.
- Operate and manage specialized medical equipment, including IV pumps and PCA pumps.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with medical staff, social services, and utilization management to coordinate care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote patient satisfaction.
- Direct and delegate tasks appropriately to patient support team members.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and legible clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
- Maintain a safe environment by following infection control, isolation, and patient safety protocols.
- Perform emergency life support interventions including BLS, ACLS, and NRP as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse RN license in the State of Missouri.
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications are required upon hire or within six months of employment.
- NRP certification is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Clinical hospital environment with exposure to infectious diseases and viruses.
- Requires the use of standard nursing uniforms and personal protective equipment PPE.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including long shifts, 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to speak, hear, and communicate clearly with patients and medical staff.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Requires physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting or supporting patients.
