Job Summary:

Dina's Restaurant is seeking a Dishwasher to join our team who plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and customers. This position involves the efficient cleaning and sanitizing of dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to support smooth food service operations. The Dishwasher contributes to the overall customer experience by enabling timely meal preparation and service through prompt and thorough cleaning tasks. This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail to handle repetitive motions and heavy lifting while adhering to health and safety regulations. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic reading and comprehension skills to understand instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions without compromising quality or safety.
  • Demonstrated reliability with regular and punctual attendance.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitization techniques and food safety standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow detailed instructions.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations and workflow.
  • Certification in food safety or sanitation is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment and manual methods as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and work surfaces to comply with health and safety standards.
  • Assist kitchen staff by removing trash and recycling, restocking clean dishes and utensils, and supporting food preparation areas as required.
  • Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management promptly to avoid disruption in service.
