Join our team as a 2nd Shift Assembler where you will assemble electrical and mechanical parts into finished products using various tools and assembly process equipment. This role involves cross-training in mechanical, electronic, testing, microscope, soldering, and finishing areas to enhance your skills.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical and mechanical parts into finished products.
- Use screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and other hand tools.
- Perform hand soldering in relevant departments.
- Utilize adhesives and chemicals in the assembly process.
- Operate computer workstations for record-keeping and testing.
- Conduct electronic testing on final assemblies using test equipment.
- Perform quality control inspection functions.
- Lift up to 40 pounds consistently.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and soldering equipment.
- Experience with small screwdrivers and torque wrenches.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with work instructions and soldering techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Experience with PCB or small part assembly preferred.
- IPC/J-STD certification is highly preferred.

Work Environment
Work hours are from 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday, with initial training on the first shift for 1-3 weeks. The workplace requires wearing a smock and safety glasses, which are provided, while safety toe shoes are not. The environment may have a strong epoxy smell in certain areas and features a large production area supporting various lines for gas and flame detection sensors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $24.00/hr.
