Job Title: Cath Lab Technician
Location: Weston, FL
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10 Hours (07:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and team-oriented Cath Lab Technician with strong cardiac catheterization experience to support a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures, maintain a sterile field, and ensure high-quality patient care throughout all stages of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and equipment
- Scrub and circulate during procedures as required
- Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment and imaging systems
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes during procedures
- Administer contrast media and medications as directed
- Ensure proper documentation and accurate patient records
- Follow infection control, radiation safety, and hospital protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond within required timeframes
- Float to other facilities within the network as needed
RequirementsExperience
- Minimum 18 months of Cath Lab experience required
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – AHA required
- RCIS or RCVT certification preferred
Skills
- Strong experience in Cath Lab procedures and sterile technique
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and imaging systems
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Schedule & Work Conditions
- Day shift with 4x10-hour schedule
- Weekend requirements as per department needs
- On-call responsibilities required
- Floating to nearby facilities may be required
- Block scheduling not available
