Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.), active Audiolist license and 1+ years Audiologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position is for a licensed Audiologist to provide services primarily at a designated academy within a school district in the San Antonio, TX area. The role requires on-site work with an expected commitment of 15 to 20 hours per week, with preferred working days on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Additional duties include troubleshooting sessions scheduled districtwide in coordination with itinerant teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audiological evaluations and support students with hearing needs
- Fit, repair, and maintain hearing aids as authorized by state licenses
- Collaborate with district staff and teachers to support students auditory requirements
- Manage caseload involving school-age children with hearing impairments
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations applicable to school audiology services
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Audiology
- Minimum of 5 years experience in school-based audiology or an equivalent setting
- ASHA certification (waiver applies for ASHA-certified individuals)
- State license to practice audiology and to fit and repair hearing aids
- Successful passage of relevant state licensing exams
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks as required for school personnel
Location: San Antonio, Texas area, with primary duties located at a specific academy and some districtwide responsibilities.
