Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Registered Pharmacy Technician position is available to support the outpatient retail pharmacy at a critical access hospital located in Ste. Genevieve County, MO. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to a smaller, dedicated healthcare setting known for personalized patient care. The pharmacy technician will play a key role in helping manage prescription volume, especially on busy Mondays when the pharmacy processes over 300 prescriptions, with roughly 200 prescriptions handled on other weekdays.
Location:
- Ste. Genevieve, Missouri
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (some weeks may require only two days)
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff
- Refill prescriptions ensuring that all information is accurate and complete
- Measure, count, label, and record medication doses precisely
- Maintain proper storage and security of medications
- Utilize pharmacy software, with PioneerRX experience preferred but not mandatory
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Prior experience with retail pharmacy duties highly valued
