Job Description

Job DescriptionNPI Project Engineer, Sales Enablement

Location: Eau Claire, WI

A day in this role

Morning stand-up sets the pace: you review your product launch plan, scan production readiness metrics, and align priorities with design engineering. By midday, you are in the thick of collaboration with planning, supply chain, and operations—clarifying scope, debating tradeoffs, and locking in deliverables. Afternoons often turn commercial: you shape cost models and process routings, translate them into quotes, and brief customers on pricing and delivery targets to meet gross-margin goals. Before close, you publish schedules, update technical documentation, and track progress so the next milestone stays on track.

Your impact

  • Own the technical execution of product development projects from concept through production, driving on-time delivery.
  • Partner across planning, design, supply chain, and operations to define scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI): serve as the bridge between design engineering and operations for new launches, ensuring manufacturing readiness, process qualification, and production validation.
  • Develop cost models, build quotes, and define process routings; communicate pricing and delivery estimates to customers while targeting competitive pricing and margin objectives.
  • Create and deliver project documentation including reports, schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Track execution against plan, report status, and escalate risks with clear actions.
  • Champion best practices and continuous improvement to elevate project efficiency.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial) or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a project engineer (or similar) within manufacturing.
  • Fluency in project management methodologies and stage-gate execution.
  • Clear, collaborative communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with project management software and core engineering tools.
  • Detail-driven, analytical problem solver with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Tools and methods

  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • CAD: SolidWorks; Pro/E (Creo)

If you’re energized by launching products that balance technical excellence with commercial outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
