Position Snapshot
Lead a two- to four-person field crew that delivers high-quality parking-lot and roadway striping services across our Southwest-Chicago territories. You will run the daily jobsite—from truck inspection at dawn to clean-up and digital close-out—while modeling our core values of safety, precision and hustle.
Key Responsibilities

30 %Project set-up & quality control – Review daily work orders, load materials, lay out stripes, ADA symbols, fire lanes, etc., verify paint codes/stencil kits, and ensure compliance with the 1-800-STRIPER workmanship checklist.
25 %Crew leadership & training – Assign tasks, coach new stripers on machine handling, surface prep and clean lines, and enforce safety protocols (PPE, traffic control cones, fire-extinguisher and spill-kit checks).
15 %Equipment & truck stewardship – Conduct pre-trip DOT walk-around, drive the 16’ box truck to site, calibrate Graco striping machines, maintain daily inventory log and schedule preventative maintenance.
15 %Site documentation & customer hand-off – Capture before/after photos, complete digital job reports in Service Fusion, secure customer sign-off, and debrief the Ops Manager on punch-list items.
10 %Material management – Track paint/acetone usage, place restock requests, and keep shop shelves and on-board bins organized to franchise specs.
5 %Continuous improvement – Suggest process tweaks, identify upsell opportunities (re-stripe schedules, signage installs) and mentor future crew leaders.
Minimum Qualifications

3+ years parking-lot or road striping experience (airless sprayers, thermoplastic or comparable).

1+ year supervisory or lead-hand experience—able to motivate and hold peers accountable on fast-turn jobs.

Valid Class D (or higher) driver’s license with clean MVR; comfortable driving/spotting a 14–16 ft box truck.

Working knowledge of striping layouts, ADA/OSHA markings, traffic-control best practices and paint chemistries.

Proficient with smartphones/tablets for work-order apps, photos and basic e-mail.

Able to lift 60 lb paint pails, work on your feet 8–10 hrs, and tolerate outdoor conditions (heat, cold, night shifts).
Preferred / Nice-to-Have

CDL-B with air-brake endorsement.

Familiarity with Service Fusion, QBO or similar field-service software.

Forklift certification, first-aid/CPR, or OSHA 10 card.

Experience reading construction/architectural striping plans.
Schedule & Compensation
-
Seasonal peaks: March – November; evening/night work common to minimize customer downtime.

Typical week: 45-55 hrs, Monday-Saturday flex. Overtime paid after 40 hrs.

Pay range: $28 – $34 / hr DOE + performance bonuses per completed job truck.

Company truck for crew transport, uniform & PPE, paid training, and path to Operations Manager or Territory Crew Supervisor within 12–18 months.
