A registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) opportunity is available for a contract assignment at a leading medical center in Aurora, CO. This role requires experience in neonatal intensive care (NICU) along with Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. The position offers a night shift schedule from 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM, providing a dynamic environment to utilize advanced respiratory care skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments including advanced ventilator management using Hamilton, Servo, and GE ventilators
- Perform breathing treatments and monitor patients across a 408-bed facility with a patient-to-therapist ratio of approximately 10:1
- Collaborate with a team consisting of night shift clinical RTs and charge therapists to deliver optimal patient care
- Follow established unit policies and guidelines, including proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records
Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in respiratory therapy, with NICU experience strongly preferred
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification mandatory
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively interact with multidisciplinary staff
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of patient care
