Position Overview: We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP). In this role, you will engage, support, and coach parents, children, and youth in child welfare, helping them thrive in their daily lives. Your goal will be to build strong relationships with children and youth, providing goal-directed interventions to stabilize and support them during transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop rapport with children and youth to optimize their functioning.
- Provide goal-directed interventions to stabilize children and youth in transition.
- Complete progress notes within 24 hours after each session.
- Maintain certification in the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment (CANS) or the Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA), updated annually.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention.
- At least one year of experience in a related field.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children and youth.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, such as 3-9 PM, and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in CANS or ANSA.
- Experience working with special needs children and adults.
