Certified Payroll Specialist (Construction | Davis-Bacon)
We are seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Specialist to support weekly payroll processing for construction employees working on government-funded projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong command of Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage compliance who enjoys detail-oriented work and ensuring regulatory accuracy.
What You’ll Do

Process weekly certified payroll for several hundred employees working on government construction projects in multiple states

Create, review, and audit certified payroll reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws

Verify prevailing wage rates, fringe benefits, classifications, and apprenticeship requirements by project

Cross-check payroll data against project documents and employee records to identify and resolve discrepancies

Investigate and resolve potential compliance issues in collaboration with project managers and field personnel

Maintain accurate documentation and stay current on changing labor and wage regulations
What We’re Looking For

3+ years of certified payroll experience in the construction industry

Hands-on experience with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage requirements

Proven experience processing weekly payroll

Strong attention to detail and ability to audit complex payroll data

Experience with any payroll software; training provided on Sage
Schedule & Compensation

On-site | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

$28–$35 per hour, depending on experience
