Overview:
PH Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk who not only possesses the relevant skills but also demonstrates initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As an essential part of our team, the Accounting Clerk will support financial operations, helping us maintain smooth and accurate accounting processes.
Role & Responsibilities:
As our Accounting Clerk, you will:
- Process daily invoices, payments, and expense reports with accuracy.
- Handle word processing tasks to ensure clear and professional documentation.
- Assist in payroll processing and account management.
- Maintain clear, organized records-both digital and physical.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure seamless operations and compliance with PH Group's financial policies.
- Take on additional tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility to meet the demands of our dynamic business.
Performance Metrics:
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Effective communication with the team and external partners.
- Adherence to accounting standards and PH Group's financial goals.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Educational Background: Post-secondary education in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office, with strong attention to detail and communication skills. Experience in NetSuite Preferred.
- Bonus Experience: Background in the transportation or logistics industry and familiarity with general ledger processes.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
This position is office-based and involves regular use of standard office equipment. You'll need to be comfortable lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally and adapt to varied tasks within a busy office setting.
