Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support and positive behavioral reinforcement in classroom settings
- Offer 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by instructional staff
- Assist with student routines, transitions, and engagement during the school day
- Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs as needed
- Support student safety, mobility, supervision, and personal care tasks
- Maintain an inclusive, supportive, and respectful environment for all learners
School Compliance Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age: 18 years
- TB test according to district requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
- Current background clearances, or willingness to obtain before starting
Preferred Experience:
- Background in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Experience working with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus (not required)
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
