Location: Spokane Valley | Pay Rate: $18 - $22/hr | Start Date: Immediate
Job Overview
Join our team at a busy lumber mill where you’ll operate a forklift to move pallets of wood throughout the facility. You’ll also inspect wood for defects, stack materials, and assist with general production tasks. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklift to transport wood pallets across the facility
- Inspect boards for splits, cracks, rot, holes, and other defects
- Stack inspected wood on pallets or carts based on quality
- Flip boards throughout the day—requires strong hands and wrists
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace during downtime
- Support general production tasks including machine operation, inspection, and packing
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in general labor or production environments
- Forklift experience - saws, forklifts (training available if needed)
- Ability to perform fast-paced physical labor
- Self-motivated and productive during slower periods
- Comfortable with repetitive movements, bending, and twisting
Work Environment
- This role is physically demanding and fast-paced. You’ll be working in a lumber mill with exposure to wood dust, noise, and machinery.
- Safety gear and training will be provided.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $22.50/hr.
