Join Our Team — Staff Accountant (General Ledger Focus)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting operations, with a strong emphasis on general ledger accounting, month-end close activities, and account reconciliations. The position also supports Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes and contributes to audit, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare supporting schedules
- Assist with annual financial audits and tax reporting support
- Support government census and survey reporting
- Review, classify, and ensure approval of employee expense reports
- Maintain and update approved supplier and customer data in the ERP system
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives
- Assist with internal control and separation-of-duties processes
- Complete special projects as assigned
Accounts Receivable Support
- Assist with discrepancy research and resolution
- Support collections activities and customer follow-up
- Help prepare AR aging and related reports
- Maintain accurate and confidential customer records
- Support expense report and company credit card reconciliation reporting
Accounts Payable Support
- Assist with vendor statement reconciliations and discrepancy resolution
- Support weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires) as needed
- Generate invoice deduction notices when required
- Help identify process efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
- Assist with AP automation and control environment improvements
- Support AP accruals and month-end tasks

Requirements:
Qualifications
Required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 1–2 years of accounting experience in AP, AR, or general accounting
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, debits, and credits
- Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations preferred
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee)
Preferred
- Epicor ERP experience
Compensation
Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors related to the specific position. These may include skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
