\n\nBehavioral Health RN Requirements\n

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY)\n
- Minimum 1 year of experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or mental health nursing\n
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required\n
- Experience with behavioral health assessments, care planning, and medication administration\n
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal skills\n
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team (psychiatrists, social workers, therapists)\n

- Provide direct patient care to individuals with behavioral health and psychiatric needs in an inpatient setting\n
- Conduct behavioral health assessments, develop nursing care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes\n
- Administer and monitor medications; document patient responses and follow safety protocols\n
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate changes in patient condition to the treatment team\n
- Participate in treatment planning, psychoeducation, and discharge planning for psychiatric patients\n
- Promote a safe, therapeutic environment using evidence-based de-escalation and safety practices\n
