Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support K-12 students at a well-established school in Ypsilanti, MI. This role offers a chance to contribute to the academic and emotional success of a diverse student population through comprehensive psychological services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations to identify student learning needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students requiring emotional support
- Assist with behavioral interventions and develop strategies to enhance student well-being
- Maintain detailed records and write reports in compliance with relevant laws and policies
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 student populations
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of special education laws and practices
- Effective communication and organizational abilities
