What You'll Do:
- Supervise and guide laborers, apprentice carpenters, fellow carpenters, and subcontractors on job sites.
- Perform high-level rough and finish carpentry (roof cut-ins, framing, custom trim, and more).
- Read plans, specifications, and work orders; order materials and coordinate subcontractor schedules.
- Enforce jobsite safety practices, protect company tools and equipment, and maintain jobsite discipline.
- Keep homeowners updated with progress and notify them professionally of any service interruptions.
- Train and develop apprentice and skilled carpenters, building a stronger team with every project.
- Keep daily logs, maintain the jobsite field file, and help ensure projects stay on time and on budget.
What You Bring to the Team:
- At least 6 years of hands-on carpentry experience, with strong leadership abilities.
- Expert-level rough and finish carpentry skills - you know your way around everything from framing to fine detailing.
- A solid understanding of construction methods, codes, and safety standards.
- Strong communication skills - with crews, clients, and project managers.
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and project paperwork with precision.
- Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to motivate and lead by example.
- A clean driver's license and a reliable work vehicle.
- Physical ability to perform demanding work daily.
Tools You'll Need: Circular saw, jig saw, chop saw, reciprocating saw, cordless drill/impact gun, router, table saw, 4' level, accurate squares, basic layout and hand tools, chisels, and grounded extension cords.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $30.00 - $40.00/hour (based on experience and skill level)
