Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
\n
• Work in a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit on K7 floor of K Tower
\n• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 at grid, 5:1 when stretched
\n• Work every other weekend
\n• Float to stepdown units and med-surg units as needed
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Must have neuro and trauma care experience
\n• Work with equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts
\n• Use Cerner EMR system
\n• Perform typical procedures including neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tube management, PCA pump administration, IV infusions, lumber drain care, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
\n• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
\n• Must be a team player with patient-focused approach
\n• Day shift staffing includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
\n• Night shift staffing includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
