We serve students ages 521 through customized one-on-one and small-group sessions. Every educator on our team is a compassionate professional who helps students strengthen academic skills, build confidence, and develop strategies for lifelong learning.



The Role

We are seeking a reading and math tutor to work with children, some of whom may have learning differences.

This is an on-site, part-time role ideal for a Special Education teacher, Reading Specialist, or experienced Learning Coach. You will work with students in grades K-8, some of whom have specific learning diagnoses (such as ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, or Processing Speed challenges). Your goal is to translate their unique learning styles into academic success and self-confidence. Sunday availability is required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Specialized Instruction: Deliver 1:1 intervention strategies for students with specific learning disabilities.
  • Executive Function Coaching: Explicitly teach organizational habits, task initiation, and self-regulation skills to students with ADHD and executive dysfunction.
  • Parent & Team Communication: Write professional progress notes that help parents understand their child's growth and collaborate with the MLS team to adjust learning plans as needed.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Education or Psychology (Masters degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years working specifically with students
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with reading intervention programs and behavior management strategies preferred but not required
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students who may have anxiety surrounding schoolwork, in addition to a warm, welcoming personality
