We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in operating various machining tools and equipment. This role involves fabricating precision parts and components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual milling machines, lathes, and other machining tools to produce precision parts.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to fabricate components accurately.
- Utilize micrometers and calipers for quality control checks.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines, equipment, or production processes to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, output, and any issues encountered.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in the production process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Proficiency in tooling techniques and the operation of milling machines and lathes.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machine operation is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining.
