Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract
Duration: 9 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Pay Rate: $65 - $69/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a CT Technologist for an exciting Contract opportunity in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to established protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.

  • Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment.

  • Administer contrast agents in accordance with physician orders and departmental policies.

  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.

  • Maintain patient records, imaging data, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and adhere to ALARA principles.

  • Perform quality assurance and safety testing on imaging equipment.

  • Retrieve, archive, and manage patient imaging studies through PACS and electronic imaging systems.

  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate service requests as needed.

  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Current New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.) required.

  • ARRT Certification in Radiography required.

  • ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required.

  • Current BLS Certification required.

  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, quality control, equipment calibration, and radiation safety practices.

  • Understanding of ALARA principles and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency with PACS, electronic medical records, and imaging systems.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hospital-based imaging departments preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of contrast administration and patient monitoring preferred.

  • Familiarity with quality assurance programs and accreditation standards preferred.
