Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract
Duration: 9 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Pay Rate: $65 - $69/hr (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a CT Technologist for an exciting Contract opportunity in New York, NY.
Responsibilities

Perform CT imaging procedures according to established protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.

Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment.

Administer contrast agents in accordance with physician orders and departmental policies.

Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.

Maintain patient records, imaging data, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Follow radiation safety guidelines and adhere to ALARA principles.

Perform quality assurance and safety testing on imaging equipment.

Retrieve, archive, and manage patient imaging studies through PACS and electronic imaging systems.

Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate service requests as needed.

Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Current New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.) required.

ARRT Certification in Radiography required.

ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required.

Current BLS Certification required.

Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required.

Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, quality control, equipment calibration, and radiation safety practices.

Understanding of ALARA principles and regulatory compliance requirements.

Proficiency with PACS, electronic medical records, and imaging systems.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in hospital-based imaging departments preferred.

Advanced knowledge of contrast administration and patient monitoring preferred.

Familiarity with quality assurance programs and accreditation standards preferred.
