Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A middle school is seeking two Special Education teachers to support resource inclusion programs on a contract basis for the current school year. This in-person position is located in Lincolnton, North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to middle school students with disabilities in a resource room and inclusion setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support student learning and accommodations
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines
- Monitor and document student progress and communicate regularly with families
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle school-aged students in a special education setting
- Knowledge of resource and inclusion models to support diverse learners
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment
