We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Delivery Truck Dispatcher to join our logistics team as a lead. The ideal candidate will coordinate and optimize delivery schedules, manage drivers, lead team, and ensure efficient transportation operations and a second-to-none customer experience.
Hours:
Hours: 12:00/Noon until 9:00 pm (Saturday is included in the 40-hour work week).
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with drivers to provide clear instructions, monitor progress, and address any issues during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipment status, updating delivery schedules, and documenting any delays or incidents.
- Monitor and manage driver performance, including adherence to safety protocols, delivery schedules, and company policies.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to promptly address customer inquiries, concerns, and delivery issues.
- Utilize dispatch software and tools to track vehicles, assign routes, and optimize delivery efficiency.
- Maintain communication with end users of the product if any delays or questions arise.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve delivery processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
Seeking Candidates with....
- Proven experience as a dispatcher, preferably in a logistics or transportation company.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and other relevant scheduling and route optimization tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling unforeseen circumstances.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or transportation management qualifications are a plus.
- Bilingual - English and Spanish is a plus!
