- Setting: Hospital-based Radiology Department\n
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (13 weeks)\n
- Start Date: December 22, 2025\n
- End Date: March 21, 2026\n
- Hours per Week: 40 guaranteed\n
- Shift: 8.5-hour days (8:00am–4:30pm, 9:00am–5:30pm), every other Saturday (7:30am–3:30pm), no holidays\n
- Unit: Mammography & Bone Density (DEXA)\n
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2380–$2550 per week\n
\n\nMammography Technologist Qualifications\n
- \n
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist\n
- Graduate of a JCERT Accredited Radiography Program\n
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required\n
- Current Massachusetts State license for Radiology and Mammography\n
- Current BLS certification\n
- Experience with 3D Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (8 hours didactic/clinical training required)\n
- Experience with Full-Field Digital Mammography (8 hours didactic/clinical training required)\n
- Proficiency in bone density exams (DEXA preferred; ARRT Bone Density Operator certification preferred)\n
- Strong communication skills in English\n
\n\nKey Responsibilities for Mammography/Radiologic Technologist\n

- Perform mammographic exams and procedures to detect breast abnormalities and cancer, ensuring patient safety and comfort\n
- Conduct bone density (DEXA) examinations as needed\n
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment, ensuring MQSA compliance and quality assurance\n
- Review requisitions, prior reports/images, and coordinate with radiologists for exam clarification\n
- Educate patients on screening and diagnostic mammogram procedures and results\n
- Document accurate patient history and refer to nurse practitioner as needed\n
- Operate mammography equipment, set exposure factors, and process images using safety protocols\n
- Evaluate images for technical quality and maintain accurate radiology records\n
- Perform and document required Quality Control procedures; maintain inventory of supplies\n
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate timely service repairs\n
- Maintain up-to-date training in QC, patient positioning, scan protocols, data management, and radiation protection\n
- Complete PACS processing and ensure proper data transfer\n
- Comply with infection control policies and maintain patient confidentiality\n
- Participate in continuing education and professional development\n
- Deliver service excellence to patients, families, and colleagues\n
- Perform other related healthcare duties as assigned\n
