Brookhaven multi-dentist practice looking for a dedicated and professional Dental Assistant to join our team! Great patient care and attention to small details are of the utmost importance.

Our team is driven, highly talented and we value personal and professional growth. We are looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and a responsible approach to their duties. Our perfect match would be able to assist with a multitude of procedures, including but not limited to impressions, medical history, charting, extractions, implant placements, root canals, crowns, dentures, partials, implant restoration, composites, lab cases, treatment plan presentation, etc.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Setup and sterilize instruments and equipment before each use
  • Prepare the work area for patient treatment by setting out instruments and materials needed
  • Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
  • Take dental radiographs (xrays/panos)
  • Manage infection control prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
  • Provide patients with follow-up appointments and care information
  • Perform administrative duties such as properly scheduling appointments, maintaining dental records, and calling on unscheduled treatment
  • Presenting treatment plans to patients
  • Monitor and maintain dental supplies and ensure proper storage to comply with health and safety regulations
  • Act as the patient advocate and liaison in the dental office to ensure patient comfort and communication
  • Ability to take initiative and anticipate the needs of patients and team


Requirements


  • Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding health and safety regulations
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation, helping ensure patients are treated with care and respect
  • Detail oriented in all aspects of dental operations and care
  • Demonstratable ability to follow instructions and learn new techniques as required
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the entire office
  • Dentrix experience preferred

Pay will be based on experience.

Hours: Full-Time (4 days/week) M/Tu/W/Th 6:30 am 3:00 pm
