Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time travel schedule—details to be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with active BLS and PALS certifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year in critical care pediatrics required; 2 years preferred.
  • Must have completed at least one travel assignment (no first-time travelers).
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Philips monitors.
  • Confident with ICU-level drips (heparin, insulin, occasional cardiac).
  • Team-oriented mindset, excellent communication, and adaptability in an “all hands on deck” open bay unit.
  • Comfortable with occasional adult patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Care for post-op pediatric patients in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Monitor telemetry, manage medication administration, and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with transporters, charge nurses, PACU educators, anesthesia, and support staff.
  • Provide family-centered care in alignment with best practices.
