Our client, a local accounting firm, is in need for an Accounting Clerk to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis! This contract-to-permanent opportunity is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a high volume of transactional work. The person in this role will help maintain accurate records, process invoices, and assist with routine bookkeeping tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is open to working in a small office environment, who enjoys working with people, and open to helping in answering phones and greeting clients.
Responsibilities:
• Enter vendor and customer invoice information accurately into accounting records and internal systems
• Support basic bookkeeping activities by updating financial data and maintaining organized documentation
• Assist with accounts payable tasks, including reviewing invoices and preparing items for processing
• Help manage accounts receivable records by tracking incoming payments and updating account details
• Verify transaction details for completeness and accuracy before posting financial information
• Maintain electronic and physical filing systems for invoices, payment records, and related documents
• Use QuickBooks and other office tools to record transactions and support daily accounting workflows
• Experience or familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to accuracy
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and routine accounting procedures
• Comfortable working with numbers and handling repetitive transactional tasks
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
